Mentor Information
Muir College would like to offer you the opportunity to connect with an incoming transfer student looking for help with adjusting to life at UCSD! You will be matched with a new transfer (mentee) who wants to have a personal relationship with a continuing transfer student from Muir. If they have a special need or concern, they can come to you.
Participation in the Muir Peer Program is considered voluntary community service. You are important to Muir College! Participation in this program will enhance not only another student’s experience at Muir, but also your own.
What is a mentor?
A mentor is a Muir College continuing student who is willing to go the extra mile for an incoming transfer student. He/she is willing to be a friend, answer questions, and be a guide. Most importantly, a mentor serves as a role model and acts as a resource.
How does the Muir Peer Mentor Program work?
You will be matched with a mentee of similar interests and goals. After receiving an email with your mentee’s contact information, it will be up to you and your mentee to set up at least one in-person meeting per quarter (or more, depending on individual need).
Important Dates:
Meet Your Mentee
