Where is UCSD?

The University of California in San Diego (also referred to as UCSD) is in the city of La Jolla. La Jolla means "the jewel" in Spanish. Consistently ranked in the Top Ten among state-supported universities in the country by US News and World Report, UCSD is situated on a sunny, forested bluff overlooking the Pacific.

La Jolla is located approximately 15 miles north of San Diego, California's second-largest city with a population of nearly 1.3 million residents. Nicknamed "America's Finest City," San Diego offers a mild climate, with an average yearly temperature of 70.5 degrees Fahrenheit (21.4 degrees Celsius). With beaches, museums, cultural festivals and entertainment districts, San Diego makes a wonderful place to call home! (Statistics from San Diego Convention and Visitor's Bureau)
