M.O.R.E. (Muir Outreach & Retention Efforts)
M.O.R.E. is an organization to help students get more out of their college experience. The goal of M.O.R.E. is to outreach, support, and retain students at Muir College.
Muir Big Bro & Sis Program (MBB&S)
This program is designed to acquaint first year students to UCSD, build a unique bond between a first year Muir student and upper-class Muir student, encourage involvement and knowledge of Muir traditions and activities, successfully transition first year students from high school to the rigors of the University environment. First year students who choose to participate will be paired up with current Muir students to form a big and little bro/sis relationship. (Fall Quarter)
Transfer Mentorship Program
New transfer students are matched with continuing transfers, who share their experiences and strategies they*ve learned for succeeding at UCSD.
Leadership Retreat Planning Committee
This committee plans the New Leaders Conference in February and the Spring Leadership Retreat in May. The New Leaders Conference Planning committee begins meeting in November and the Spring Leadership Planning committee begins meeting in the April.
Welcome Week Committee
Welcome Week may be the most memorable experience of your college career and Muir*s Welcome Week committee is responsible for planning every aspect of it. From selecting an Unolympic theme to choosing the nightly entertainment the Welcome Week committee makes it all happen! Meetings start during the Spring quarter.
Admit Day Committee
This committee organizes an all-day extravaganza to inform prospective Muirons about the college. The committee plans the entire day*s schedule which typically includes tours, outdoor activities, entertainment, and information sessions. The Admit Day Committee does not begin meeting until Winter quarter.
