Yes. Any upper division course for which credit is earned applies to the requirement

Do 199's count toward the 18 upper division requirement?
Yes. As many times as you earn credit for it. Be aware of the credit limitations for 199's in your department as well as university pass/no pass limitations.

What Grade Point Average (GPA) is required to be eligible to graduate?
The grade point average in your major and overall must be at least 2.0 to graduate.

How many courses can I take P/NP?
No more than 25% of your total UCSD units may be taken P/NP. NOTE: Courses pertaining to your major or minor typically must be taken for a letter grade.

How many units must I complete to be eligible to graduate?
Students must complete a minimum of 180 quarter units to be eligible for B.A. and B.S. degrees.

How do I earn honors?
Department honors:
Are awarded by the department upon graduation with a particular GPA in the major or on completion of an honors specific program or project.
Latin honors: (Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Cum Laude)
Are awarded automatically to the top 14% of a graduating class based on cumulative GPA from the previous year's graduating class. GPA eligible students must have a minimum of 80 graded UC units to earn Latin Honors.
Caledonian and Phi Beta Kappa Societies:
Are awarded by invitation. Students must have met minimum GPA, unit, residency and diversity of study criteria.
Quarterly Provost's Honors:
Are awarded automatically each quarter and noted on the transcript in the quarterly summary. A 3.5 GPA in 12 units of graded credit for the quarter is required.

Where and when do I apply to graduate?
